A significant specimen of euchroite from the type locality, both for the size and quality of the specimen and the sharpness of the main crystal. There is one significant crystal and several other smaller subhedral crystals and veinlets in the gossanous schist matrix. The large, equant, main crystal is about 4mm in size and is very lustrous. This crystal is of good size and is well-placed on the matrix. Euchroite is a rare hydrated copper arsenate and this piece is very rich, significantly more than most! So few euchroites have a well centered crystal on matrix.
