Euchroite (Type Locality)
A very rare species from old Europe, good old specimens of this material are hard to come by today. This large display piece features a rich coating of blue-green Euchroite covers much of what was the face of an open seam in the gossan matrix. The Euchroite ranges from a velvety layer of micro crystals to foliated crystals that are up to about 3 mm. From the type locality for the species, which dates back hundreds of years, this is a very good, colorful specimen from this renowned mining district that is representative for this rarity. Ex Museum of Naples, to Fioravanti.
