BARYTE with Cinnabar$350.00

Wire transfers available, to set up
This quite large aggregate of bladed (elongated tabular) crystals of Baryte is a little 'chewed' in places but this former Baryte mine (Clarashall mine), which closed in 1974, is a somewhat forgotten locality in Birkenfeld District, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany, and specimens are rarely seen available. The Baryte crystals, some of which reach 5 cm in length, are partially coated in an unidentified thin matt orange-brown crust, but smaller areas upon this are scattered with tiny deep blood-red Cinnabar crystals. Despite their damage, the Baryte crystal are well-formed and this presents a good example from this uncommon locality.
