Ludlockite
Ludlockite is such an iconic Tsumeb species. Named after Frederick Ludlow Smith III (1939-2014) and Charles Locke Key (1935-2021), the dealers who discovered this extremely rare lead iron arsenate and provided samples for analysis and description. Always much sought after, the majority of specimens are loose matted bundles of fibres kept in tubes or plastic boxes, so to get material in context, on matrix, is much nicer. This miniature specimen is exactly that, with small areas of bright orange-red fibres infilling small cavites within Quartz-Tennantite (or possibly Chalcocite or Germanite) matrix.
