BARYTE Cut Stalactite
A 7 cm diameter cut and polished section through a zoned pink and white Baryte stalactite. Although not as historically well-known as the 'Oakstone' Baryte from Arbor Low, this material from Dirtlow Rake has become a 'modern day' classic from the Peak District. This fine example shows very different colour patterns on either side. Ex Peter S. Burr Collection it is accompanied by his characteristically detailed label documenting its history, which reveals that it was collected and polished by Phillip Chen in 1999.
