Cuprian Smithsonite
This is quite the 79 Mine cuprian smithsonite. The color is unique with a transition from light to dark green travelling transversely across the specimen. The top of the specimen draws the eye with a cluster of lustrous dark green botryoidal crystals. The luster is top notch and I do not see any dings which is a rarity. The 79 mine is an iconic American locality and this particular specimen was displayed during the American Mineral Treasures Exibit formerly in the collections of Alex Neufeld and B. Dameron.
