This iconic, intense dark blackbird egg blue Hemimorphite display specimen can only really be from Sa Duchessa mine at Oridda in Carbonia-Iglesias Province, Sardinia, Italy. Too dark for the other classic blue Hemimorphite locality - at Roughton Gill in the Caldbeck Fells, England - this magnificent specimen is sure to turn heads for its amazing colour and prominent size. The specimen is also quite characterful, not being a straightforward single coating, but an undulating series of blue-lined cavities and additionally displaying the characteristic colour-zoned cross-section through the Hemimorphite layer. There is no appreciable damage making this an important Hemimorphite from this amazing occurrence.
