This radiant piece is obviously from the famous 1971 Gem Pocket at Tsumeb, that represent the discovery of the finest mimetites in the world in terms of sheer quality (color, gemminess, geometric perfection). The find has never been repeated or equaled and they remain quite literally anchor specimens in a Tsumeb collection or simply iconic specimens in any collection. This is a significant small cabinet sized and richly crystallized specimen from the Pohl Collection that features several dozen, gleaming, yellow, gem, prismatic crystals with pyramidal terminations all over the piece. The crystals vary from slender to fat prismatic and are stunning in their gemminess with incredibly glassy luster. Crystals range in size from 0.5 to 1.7 cm in length and up to 0.9 cm in width! The piece is very three-dimensional with gem crystals decorating gray septae of matrix that is also coated with bright yellow, almost powdery arsentsumebite for fantastic color and contrast! An exceptional multi-crystal gem mimetite piece from this amazing locality!
