Paradamite
Paradamite, the triclinic dimorph of Adamite, is much the rarer of the two. Having been first described from Ojuela mine in 1956, it has still only been recorded from a handful of localities worldwide and nowhere in crystals comparable to Ojuela. This very large thumbnail specimen comes from the superb systematic collection assembled by the brothers Martin and Michael Günther (1951-2007 & 1956-2021) and is extremely richly crystallized with perfect bladed triclinic crystals up to 6 mm in length. Virtually the whole specimen is made up of an aggregate of sharp pale orange Paradamite crystals. A superb example of this rare zinc arsenate species.
