Layers and layers of "goopy" chrysocolla have deposited in whirls and ball-shaped (botryoidal) formations all over the top of a quartz point, in a stunning and balanced specimen from these unique finds. There simply are not normally mineral specimens that look like these, and they seem like a fusion of organic and geologic elements. These robust crystals came out around 2020. This complete quartz point is about 7 cm tall, not counting the blue chrysocolla growths atop.
