Tsumeb mine has produced some of the world's finest and richest crystallized Mottramite specimens which can take several different forms. This very rich small cabinet specimen is a bed of bi-coloured Mottramite - an initial dark olive-green stalactitic form upon which a thick outer layer of vibrant green has developed, and which shows a slightly rosetted crystallized form. A few small colourless Calcite crystals occur in association on the surface of the bright green Mottramite, but it is the richly coloured and crystallized Mottramite which makes this specimen.
