This style of gold is famous from the old Gold Rush days and generally known only from museum collections. However, a small discovery called the 1991 Christmas Pocket finally gave a modern production of such old style golds...although not many. Most of it was sold by the dealer who obtained them to a single East Coast black-hole collector. Few small pieces were sold or kept out for the rest of the collectors in the market. This is one of them, and has the original label from that time (priced at $24000 as a huge premium for the locality and find at the time, long ago to the previous owner, by the way), now recycling out of an older collection. 45.8 grams. Stunning and dramatic, volumetric, complete all around!
