This is a small, but beautiful sculptural Native Gold with a few grains of Milky Quartz embedded within adding to its character. Miniature in size, at 2.7 cm tall and weighing 5 grams it is a superb and rarely seen piece from the Libby Mining District in Lincoln County, Montana. The Native Gold has a hackly appearance, but with rounded edges and with a rich bright yellow gold colour. Very few mineral specimens are seen from Libby Mining District making this a significant and interesting piece. The only other Native Gold I have seen from Libby Mining District was mined in 1991.
