Jamesonite on Sphalerite and Pyrite
This is a massive and very showy specimen that showcases an excellent combination of three sulfide minerals. About half of the specimen's front side is covered in highly resplendent, dense beds of fibrous Jamesonite crystals, which are presented across a hefty matrix of Pyrite and Sphalerite. Under any degree of lighting, the Jamesonite crystals have an incredibly flashy presentation that pairs well with its strong metallic-grey color. Certainly one of the more colorful aspects of the specimen, the Pyrite is primarily smaller in stature but well-formed and interwoven into petite clusters. The Sphalerite, on the other hand, is much larger (reaching up to 5.2 centimeters), presenting very sharp tetrahedral crystals that have a bright luster and a dark-brown to black hue. This piece comes with a custom acrylic base.
