Galena and Quartz
Galena, being a mineral in the isometric crystal class, has the potential to form in a huge range of habits. In this case, the Galena has formed in these massive parallel clusters of blades, similar to Hematite rosettes but on a much larger (and much shinier!) scale. Each and every one of the blades are richly textured with striations, which appear as sci-fi-esque triangles in areas where the flat planes of the blades are visible. Between the tesseracts of Galena are sugar-dusted points of peach colored Quartz crystals, with most of them being accented by a preferentially deposited druze of secondary Quartz. All of this complex goodness is presented on a large scale, with the entirety of the specimen reaching a massive 35 centimeters in width. This specimen comes with a custom acrylic base.
