Manganite
To find any Manganite specimens from Mexico, let alone one this well-crystallized, is an incredibly rare find! This particular specimen comes from one of the more obscure Mexican mining localities, featuring an extremely impressive plate of wonderful, dark grey Manganite botryoides atop a light tan matrix of host rock. The intergrown clusters are nearly pristine and complemented with a strikingly wet luster, which is only enhanced by the Manganite's smooth surface texture. Included with this lot is the original label from Tom and Gale Palmer's collection, dating back to the 1970s.
