Shattuckite
Toward the end of 2013, the Tantara Mine produced new and truly astounding Shattuckite specimens-some of the best to be seen from the locality. This cabinet specimen is undeniably one of the finest pieces from the find, presenting perfectly-formed Shattuckite spheres up to 3.3 centimeters in diameter, which line the interior of a vug that is primarily outlined by a massive Shattuckite matrix. The surface is velvety and felt-like. The Shattuckite shows three distinct shades of blue, each demonstrating the specimen's growth phases. A secondary generation of minute Shattuckite spheres are scattered throughout the vug's interior, accenting the larger Shattuckite groups with pocks of darker blue. This piece comes with a custom acrylic base.
