Natrolite
As numerous and varied as zeolitic vugs from India can be, this is an excellent and aesthetic example that features several well-formed sprays of Natrolite set in a wide cavity, wrapping almost 270-degrees around the specimen. It is not very often you will find clusters of Natrolite encapsulated in vug specimens, such as this. Each of the crystals are a bright white, partially transparent, and have a glassy luster that gives the clusters a dazzling visual appeal. The vug's interior is cavernous and lined with a thin layer of druzy Quartz that is accented with terminated associations of Stilbite. If you turn the specimen over, the underside presents a small pocket of sharp, colorless Calcite crystals joined by additional associations of Stilbite and a mossy, green coating of what is possibly Celadonite. This piece comes with a custom acrylic base.
