Adamite
Adamite is one of those minerals that can occur in a wide range of colours, from yellow, green, blue and even purple. This beautiful blue example is influenced by traces of copper within its structure. The Kamariza mines at Lavrion in Greece are famous for this gorgeous turquoise-blue colour Adamite and this miniature specimen captures this variety wonderfully well. The Adamite forms small but colourful globular aggregates upon an unidentified white substance coating cavities with a porous gossany matrix.
