This small miniature features an extremely well-formed 7.5 mm long crystal of Wodginite on matrix. Rare in good crystals, this exotic manganese tin tantalum oxide sits wonderfully well in a small cavity in Feldspar and Muscovite mica allowing its full termination and most sides to be viewed. Pointed, to slightly bladed in form, the black crystal stands out against the white Feldspar matrix and even displays a slightly iridescent surface appearance. It is from the superb systematic collection assembled by brothers Martin and Michael Günther (1951-2007 & 1956-2021).
