This extremely rare sodium beryllium silicate comes from nepheline syenite pegmatites at the Type Locality - Narsaarsuk Plateau, Narsaq, Kujalleq, Greenland. At 2.2 cm in length, this individual off-matrix crystal of Epididymite is really quite large and a classic for the rare species collector. It features fine linear growth lines along the length of the crystal. It is from the superb systematic collection assembled by brothers Martin and Michael Günther (1951-2007 & 1956-2021).
