Wire transfers available, to set up
An aesthetic pseudomorph of Quartz after Anhydrite from Iraí in the State of Rio Grande do Sul in Brazil. One large and one small tabular prismatic crystal of these pseudomorphs grace the center of this plate of stubby Amethyst crystals. At 4.8 cm, the taller one consists of three individual crystals in parallel growth that are connected for much or part of their length and separated by 1 mm or so in places. The shorter one measures 1 cm and is truncated at the top so that you can see that these pseudomorphs are hollow at their interior. They are all translucent white with a satin finish. The Amethyst crystals are between 0.5 and 1 cm in length and are a pale purple and coated by thin what may be white Quartz as it is the same color as the Anhydrites that are replaced. It is a showy and aesthetic small cabinet piece! Part of an educational set, with these additional items: Quartz (SYP25-21a) and Anhydrite (SYP25-21c).
