NATIVE Arsenic
Kusa mine in Sarawak, Malaysia is an interesting, but rarely heard of locality. It is one of the few places where discrete individual crystals of Native Arsenic are found. This quite large specimen of Native Arsenic from Kusa mine shows how rich this species is there, although its form here is the more traditional, layered colloform masses, externally forming botryoids. The outer surface of these botryoids are rough and perhaps crystalline, but look more naturally etched than freely grown. Nevertheless, this is a significantly large specimen of Native Arsenic from Malaysia and specimens of any mineral specimen from Kusa mine are rarely seen available. Ex David Hardman collection.
