Pectolite
Pectolite is the calcium analogue of serandite and is a member of the wollastonite group of mineral species. Superb serandites are synonymous with Mt. St-Hilaire, Quebec and superb pectolites are synonymous with the Jeffrey Mine of Quebec. This excellent specimen is a glassy, tabular, colorless blade with a one-sided, chisel termination. The crystal is fairly large for the species and locale and is complete-all-around and pristine. This fine thumbnail is from the Carl Davis Collection and dates to the 1970s or early 1980s.
