A beautiful large example for this locality, lustrous gemmy pale purple crystals of quartz to 3.0 cm in size are covering the top of this matrix. This is in good condition. This is the variety of the species often referred to as an amethyst. Large examples of amethyst from this famous locality rarely come available on the market today.
