Phenakite
This is a complete floater, crystallized and undamaged all around 360 degrees. It is lustrous and gemmy, of a very high quality for this old material. Steve said that he thought he acquired this in Brazil back in the 1980s, but it would be from older material still (1950s-1960s) and is now regarded as a gem classic of Brazil. They have a unique crystal shape, not matched by phenakite from other locations, and so have retained their desirability and value well over time. Complete all around, even on the backside. This was a choice example for this species that was long held (nearly two decades) in Steve Smale's suite of rare species miniatures.
