Apatite is a phosphate mineral that crystallizes in attractive hexagonal shapes that come in an array of colors. Purple examples are rarest and the most coveted by collectors. The Warsak area in Pakistan is an alpine region that rarely produces apatites, no less stunning examples like this one. The finest ever recovered from the location, this is among the greatest apatites in the world.
