Pyromorphite
This lovely rich crystallized thumbnail Pyromorphite is from a German classic at Bad Ems in Rhineland-Palatinate. More specifically, it is from Pfingstwiese mine which was part of the famous Mercur mine. It is small, but is a relatively pure aggregate of stocky, wide, hexagonal crystals, the largest reaching 6 mm in length. They are the classic murky camouflage green colour, but dappled with darker shades beneath the surface. Ex Martin and Michael Günther (1951-2007 & 1956-2021) collection.
