Diaboleite with Boleite$600.00

There might be more to this miniature Mammoth-Saint Anthony mine specimen than meets the eye. Labelled as Diaboleite with Boleite it is certainly Diaboleite that is providing the extensive rich blue colour which permeates throughout this piece, occasionally forming small bladed crystals within cavities. The presence of Boleite is unclear, and might originally have been listed as Diaboleite/Boleite, but to me the pale green areas are worthy of more attention as this looks like material within which the rare lead copper sulphate silicate hydroxide species Wherryite might occur, and the colour is about right. Either way, it is a rich Diaboleite from one of the classic occurrences for that species. Ex David Hardman collection, this piece was probably obtained by him during the 1960s or 1970s.
