A fine, transparent gem crystal of the famous diaspore from this historic locality in Turkey. The species is now showing huge new public interest as a "new gemstone", rebranded as czarite or sultanite in the public media. However, it is all simply the same old diaspore...but the gem mining provided a renewed chance for us crystal collectors to obtain one, when they are saved (in these cases, by a mining engineer there). This is a robust, full, impressively sharp miniature of the rare UNTWINNED style - a single textbook crystal from a mine that produces more twins than large gem singles like this. It is complete, though reduced in price relative to its normal price for the size and quality, as it does have a lateral (enclosed) fracture within that gives a dark line. Still, an important and fine miniature.
