Delightful specimen of a well defined, "mirror-like" metallic luster, chrome silver, large single 4.2 cm Hematite crystal. The crystal faces exhibit distinctive yet simple triangular striation patterns and bevelled edge terminations. There is some early onset of oxidation as seen by the faint red markings on the face and some micro pitting on a few of the edges. Towards the bottom edge there is some associated white Calcite crystals as well as at least one embedded Rutile crystal. The crystal is complete with only minor edge contacting near the Calcite formation. An appealing example of the uncommon Hematite specimens from the find in Madagascar. From 2023 finds.
