A special piece consisting of a complete and well terminated kunzite in matrix, nestled in a crevasse of crystallized cleavelandite blades, themselves on sparking purple lepidolite matrix. You could not ask for a better contrast! Matrix kunzite is extremely rare - from here or anywhere. This is a robust crystal with an unusually fine termination, as most are etched or dissolved-looking. This crystal is complete, and is 9 x 4 x 3 cm. It is a beautiful balance, and has no damage no repairs. The termination is complete all around. Jack acquired this in the 1990s at the peak of Afghani production, when a few notable matrix examples of this material came out. We have now cleaned it properly, for the first time. It is already trimmed to sit flat for display, although we can also make a custom base to give it more height and respect.
