Denton mine is one of the most famous specimen-producing mines for Fluorite in the Cave-in-Rock District, Illinois. This lovely miniature specimen is full of character and featured in Arvid Pasto's Fluorite book, published in 2009: Collector's Guide to Fluorite. Predominantly a single, large yellow cube, this 4 cm wide crystal is overgrown by several purple-rimmed cubes, in an almost tessellated fashion. These Fluorite overgrowths are actually what grabs your attention more than the underlying larger cube. They are mostly in very good condition and provide real character. Ex Arvid Pasto collection, no. AEP796.
