Fluorite
We brought in a beautiful array of fluorite and amethyst specimens from the Nancy Hanks Mine in Mesa County, Colorado as part of Mel Bersch’s incredible collection, and this specimen is one of the best ones. Mel used to own the claim on the Nancy Hanks Mine, which is the source of some of Colorado’s most attractive fluorite and amethyst as well as unique combinations of the two. The mine was originally developed for copper, silver, and gold in the late 1800s to early 1900s, followed by prospecting for fluorite in the 1940s during WWII and later in the 1970s. These specimens are Colorado classics that are rarely seen on the market. Ex. Mel Bersch.
