Fluorite
The Hastie’s quarry is a currently operating aggregate quarry in Hardin County Illinois. These fabulous fluorites are found as a byproduct of the open pit operating in a vicinity of a previous fluorite mine. The majority of the specimens are in rough condition due to blasting from the open pit mine but this one is in decent condition with only minor edge chewing. This specimen features nice sharp zones and is very translucent.
