Malachite ps. Azurite
A sharp, complete-all-around example of malachite after azurite, from Milpillas, with style: the tip is still solid azurite, so you have the sharp intense blue contrast poking out on top! This exact balance and style is very rare...most such pseudomorphs are either too far gone to malachite, or too chaotic in patterning. This contrast, on the other hand, draws the eye and makes you wonder how it formed! Wayne Thompson was one of the main importers/sources at the time, and this is one that he kept for his miniatures collection. Laszlo Kupi photo.
