Apex mine is one of the few places in the world that produces supreme quality Vanadinite and this is an excellent example from the Apex mine, Chihuahua, Mexico. A nice miniature with a variety of crystals; going from quite elongated with dominant hexagonal faces to the more classic style with the dominant pinnacoidal faces. A butterscotch colour with intense hues of orange provides these crystals with a depth and complexity that keeps it interesting to gaze at, but the added texture from the dusting of Calcite makes this into a fantastic specimen.
