Linnaeite and Siegenite with Siderite$1,250.00

Wire transfers available, to set up
A splendid duo of two isometric sulfide mineral species, both rare, from the Stahlberg Mine in Musen, Germany. Gray-white, satin metallic, octahedral to cubo-octahedral crystals of Linnaeite from 1-3 mm intermittently cover much of the display sides of the piece, with the remainder of the specimen comprised of minor Siegenite. Linnaeite is a rare cobalt sulfide and this is an extremely rich piece for the species and Siegenite is a rare cobalt-nickel sulfide. Isolated and lightly clustered crystals of 1 to 2 mm, tan colored Siderite are scattered locally. This is a rare, old piece from the Hefendehl (ex. Gebhard collection) in Germany with one experienced label from Wolli Wendel who analysed it to confirm both species were present.
