Description
Calcite
Tonglushan Mine, Daye Co., Huangshi, Hubei, China
5.1x4.8x4.2cm
This specimen has both striking color and great aesthetics. The red color, in the Calcite, is caused either by Iron oxide or Hematite inclusion. the combination of bright reds, with great clarity and glassy luster set this Daye Co., piece apart from others. The large focal Calcite crystal is perfectly perched atop a bed of scalenohedral Calcite points, accompanied by a fine druze. Under direct lighting the refraction dances across the matrix.
Comes with a 2"x2"x1" acrylic for display and a laminated identification card.
