This quite large Zircon crystal (with three smaller crystals attached to one side) is from Europe's all-time classic Zircon locality - Seiland Island - high up within the Arctic Circle in northern Norway. This remote area is also now a National Park meaning that collecting is no longer permitted. This old-time 3 cm long doubly-terminated crystal is not complete and has a slightly distorted form, hence why the price is not significantly higher, but is still nicely crystallized with one complete pyramidal termination and only missing parts of two crystal faces (where it grew in contact with another crystal) on the other side, with another pyramidal termination present. It displays the classic rich deep burgundy red-brown colour, resinous lustre, and great internal reflections, and has three smaller crystals attached to one side. Rare material nowadays.
