Kingsgate in New South Wales, Australia is renowned for fine Molybdenite specimens, sometimes very large, but often damaged due to the softness of the mineral. This wonderful miniature specimen has the perfect balance and the flower-like spray of bright silvery-blue metallic platy crystals is in incredible condition. The spray reaches 3.6 cm in diameter and sits nicely slightly recessed into a Quartz-rich matrix. An unusually pretty Molybdenite.
