This very rich miniature Azurite specimen comes from Cobar in Robinson County, New South Wales, Australia. Cobar is the site of several gold and base metal mines. Secondary copper mineralization is reported, but generally not as well-crystallized as seen in this specimen. The colour and lustre is really fine for an Australian Azurite and although the crystals are small, overall the specimen is very showy. Another little treasure from the David Hardman collection.
