Brochantite
A superbly crystallized large miniature specimen of glossy deep emerald green Brochantite from Bisbee, Arizona. Although not specifically recorded as such this might well be from the famous Shattuck mine finds of the 1970s when the previous collection owner (David Hardman) was very active in acquiring specimens. The individual interlocking prismatic (sometimes referred to as matchstick-like) crystals reach up to 1.4 cm in length and are extremely glossy. None of the crystals are obviously terminated, but they rarely are in this type of material, but it is a really rich example of this species which is rarely seen in substantial blocky crystals.
