A Sterling Hill classic, often given the rather unflattering name - "Maggot Ore" due to the shape of the crystal aggregates. This type of material was mined at Passaic Pit, an opencut worked in about the 1870s, but there is no documented history kept with this specimen, other than its more recent history in David Hardman's collection. David collected intensively from the 1960s onwards and one of his [many] passions was East Coast minerals. This wonderful Sterling Hill Hemimorphite is in superb condition and is quite imposing too, at cabinet size. The crystals and crystal aggregates are very clean - not at all grubby, even if they do look like maggots! In fact they are quite plump, so watch out as it might be ready to fly. A top class Sterling Hill piece.
