This specimen is a stunning lemon yellow crystal of ettringite from the best of species find in the 1980s, formerly in the collection of Dr. Ludi von Bezing, then Eric Asselborn (via Wayne Thompson), and David Schorsch (via myself). It is simply one of the best and most impactful examples in this size for its breadth, depth, and color quality. It has a fine luster as well (please note, these cannot live in humid homes...they will dehydrate and need to be in AC-controlled moisture rooms or cases). When on a base, it makes for a small miniature. It is just a bit too big to be a standard Tucson competition-sized thumbnail; and is what some people call a small miniature or boxbuster thumbnail, these days (it will fit in the thumbnail "jewel boxes" for display). I have always treasured this piece since I first saw it, in the early 2000s. Comes with a custom base.
