Fluorapatite$2,000.00

This is an unusual habit for Fluorapatite, dramatic and beautiful. The luster is very high and the luster combined with amber-yellow color makes for a not-surprising mistaken identity as heliodor when they turn up on the market out of old collections. This piece is a perfect miniature, complete all around and with complex crystal terminations that show sharp bevelled edges like a jewel. It is a very rare gem crystal and I have only seen a few from this locality (all from one find in the late 1990s), as they turn up only in older collections these days. From the Kay Robertson collection. Featured in the book Collecting Classics: The Legacy of Kay Robertson (Mineralogical Record, May 2025) on page 53.
