Pyromorphite
A very sparkly, wet-lustered and colorful, cabinet-size plate of Pyromorphite from the famed Bunker Hill Mine in Idaho, from the famous finds of the 1990s. The crystals are super lustrous with a bright translucent yellow-green to green-yellow color and range in size across the plate from 2 mm to just over 1 cm and there are dozens of them! Smaller crystals dominate one side of the piece where there happens to be a small area of yellow-orange Pyromorphites. The other side of the piece has larger crystals and a few of those have a yellow-orange tint. The crystals are all hexagonal, barrel-shaped with flat terminations and they all seem to have just a slight curvature to them. This aesthetic and brightly colored piece probably originates from the late 1990s Jersey Vein extension finds at the mine. Pieces this size without damage are scarce on the market. Ex. Les Presmyk
