Wulfenite
This is an excellent Wulfenite cluster of this particular gracile style from a series of small pockets found around 2010-2013 (approx), and composed of variegated orange and brown colored Wulfenite blades from 1 to 3 cm across. Individual Wulfenite blades are almost rounded in shape and thin, about 1.5 mm and are zoned from a dark core in the center and then outwardly to orange at the edges. They have been etched out of surrounding calcite, as were all of this style, revealing what luckily lay within. We saw them in China being taken out by a friend, and dissolved out from the white calcite in massive acid basins in an outdoor workshop! Fine specimens were rare then, and are more so today. The intersections of the crystals and portions of the crystals themselves have a thin, almost porcelaneous coating of white Calcite remaining in some places. This is an open cluster of large Wulfenite crystals from this remote Chinese locality (now forbidden for mining claims due to restrictions on explosives use there).
