This is a very fine, showy display quality Fluorite from the less well known Mexican occurrence at El Filo vein, Santa Librada, Mapimí Municipality, Durango. At large cabinet size, it shows the classic El Filo striking darker purple outer edges to the crystals and slight surface crazing/stepping to the inner of the crystals. Individually, nearly all of the crystals are over 1 cm in size. The colour is excellent, a really vibrant purple, and enhanced by the white background matrix. There is only the very slightest of contact damage on one, or possibly two of the crystals, but this is hard to spot. Overall, a really excellent Mexican Fluorite. Ex Jesse Fisher collection.
