Quartz var. Sceptre Amethyst
This sweet miniature specimen literally looks like a sweet - a lollipop. Material from the Chiredzi mining district, Masvingo, Zimbabwe only started to appear on the mineral market in 2019 and was short-lived. The defining features of this deposit are well-formed, gemmy Quartz sceptres, usually with Amethystine tops. This miniature is a nice size, has great deep purple colour, glassy faces, and lovely shape. There are a few tiny chips to the termination, but otherwise this is a really fine specimen from this recent find.
